Knitting for me

I have various knitting projects on the go at the moment, but they're all secret....some people might peep you know, and that would spoil a surprise or two. But in between a row here and a row there I've been going round and round with this cowl/neck warmer.

It's from this book and rather than using cashmere (don't want to tempt Walter!) I'm using this lovely mix from Loop. The colour is Blue Sky....and it resonates beautifully with the colours that surround me each day as I walk on the beach. It's going to be a fine and rather floppy (or should I say drapey?) neckwarmer, probably better suited to spring. Just an excuse really to knit another more chunky version. And who needs an excuse when there's so much wonderful yarn to choose from?

Hello Diana,
Your last post has me drooling still - I want a Bernina!!!!
Now for the knitting which is beautiful Diana; soft, drapey (lovely word) and looks so warm and snuggly. Just perfect and I love the colour which definitely speaks of the colours surrounding us at the moment. Well done you (and desperate to see the pressies!)> Looks to be a dry day here today so out in the garden I think to wear my little tyrant out. Have a lovely day Diana xx

Hi Diana

Lovely neckwarmer, I've just checked out the wool and love the moss colour! I do like blue like blue on others but it washes me out :0( I've not had the courage to try with circular needles yet.

The wool is a lovely colour. I just can't get the hang of knitting. I find it hard to control 2 needles and put the wool around at the same time! Not a very good multi-tasker! The neck warmer will be great for you to wear out on walks with Walter.

Hello Diana
I'm cross with you for showing me 'Loop', just spent too long looking at their site and not doing what I should be doing. My pile of pressie knitting is growing fast. I've just finished a set of pink washcloths for my granddaughter and started on some white ones for her mum. I love the blue of your neckwarmer and the yarn looks scrummy.

Have a good day.

The cowl looks lovely! And such a beautiful color! Now I just have to figure out what I've done with mine as it's definitely getting chillier here in Teddington! K x

I can tell by the look of your stitches that you are a good knitter. Very evenly done and not too tight. Just right. It looks lovely.
